CDM Scotland Ltd was established in 1995 at the inception of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations. Initially the firm was established to fulfil the duties of the Planning Supervisor, now the CDM Co-ordinator. However the company has evolved to offer a comprehensive safety package including Health and Safety Consultancy, Safety Training, Auditors and the provision of Safety documentation. What we like to refer to as a one stop safety shop.
We are included on Constructionline: the Government’s approved list of qualified construction service providers and registered with the CHAS. All of our CDM Co-ordinators / Safety Consultants are Chartered Members of the Institute of Safety and Health and/or Registered Members of Association of Project Safety and can demonstrate the required level of competence as required in Appendix 4 of the CDM 2007 Approved Code of Practice. CDM Scotland also holds Corporate Membership to the Association for Project Safety. Our team of safety trainers have completed the Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Sector (PTTLS), to demonstrate their competence to deliver effective and entertaining training sections.
In an industry beset by technical language and terminology, we ensure that our communication is clear and comprehensible. Due to our commitment to continuous professional development, and having had experience working on a myriad of construction projects, we are not only able to understand the intricacies of each project that we take on, but also explain in plain English how to achieve the safety solution possible.
We believe in forming and maintaining close relationships with our clients through regular communication. This, together with having the necessary in-house designed and specific systems in place, ensures that we are able to give the right information, to the right people, at the right time – the key to effective safety solutions.
We currently hold ISO 9001 and are working towards achieving 14001 and 18001; we are also accredited by Investors in People.
